As part of our graduation send off, the BGSU Graphic Design Division held a final gallery show for us to display our favorite projects that we completed while enrolled in the graphic design program over the past four years. Each of us got into groups and pitched our own design concepts to the class and chose one overarching theme that best described our graduating class.
Mosaic is meant to embrace the "fine arts" part of our BFA degrees. With our college career coming to a close, we have looked back on the projects that we have done and see that they incorporate a wide range of media, which widens the scope of how we can push our projects conceptually. We have a mosaic of different techniques.
Though this gallery concept was not the one that was chosen, it was still very exciting to brand this show with my two best friends, Jordan and Greyson. This was a collaborative project that was out of all three of our comfort zones, but it was a great exercise to see how well we can work together, even outside of an assignment context.
We were keen on taking on aspects of this project that we were not comfortable with, which is why I believe it was so much fun to complete. I took on the task of creating a motion graphic for the logo and working with Greyson on the elaborate branding part of the show.
